"Recently I’ve been collaborating with guys from bands I grew up listening to (Lifehouse/Dashboard Confessional, Darius Rucker's band). It was surreal to say the least; but then it hit me. Without hesitation; I reached out to Bryce with the idea for CollabTRAX while watching the documentary on Fred Rogers called, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.” I think the inspired idea came to me right after Fred Rogers said “love is at the root at everything, all learning, all relationships, love or the lack of it.”
I thought, “what if we created a digital platform that connects studio/touring musicians together; in an effort to inspire and heal those in the world who are less fortunate?” Imagine the sheer healing power if four or five (4-5) known musicians from established bands collaborated on a song together and then donated the proceeds. What if we then hold a benefit show each year for all of our CollabTRAX collaborators? I immediately thought back to a benefit I helped orchestrate, called “Benefit for Bella.” It was then, CollabTRAX was born.
